I’d like to see the Avengers and X-Men team up to take down the narco-terrorist regime ruling Krakoa.

Exactly. I hope it gets better. I use to love those stories with the F4 and X-men supporting each other. Or the cross overs being more personal because it was family in that Franklyn was a mutant. Or how cap had respect for logan because he was in the war but sometimes it's hard to read cap and enjoy a scene of him with Logan when how do you separate the two when marvel in a sense have gone out of their way to sow division between the two panels and reconciling the two on panel defies logic. I mean i think Kurt Busiek does a great job of respecting marvel itself and what it was before 2000 in the marvels.

I also suspect hickman is more meta than we thought with "the lost years" from house of x. because i'm realizing people seem to completely have forgotten there was a 2000-2010 which was seriously the worst period in marvel since i've been reading since 1993.

and i had quite a few of those black and white reprints so i know how good it was in the 80s.

"Drastically alters"? let me guess...the Avengers will go to work for Project: Wideawake and actively hunt mutants now just to make them look bad.

um how is it bad writing to ask a hero where he was when millions of human mutants( a lot of which were in fact children) were killed when hes asking about 40 kids in stamford? Why does it matter who committed the act or even why?

Krakoa didn't exist yet; the X-Men used "human technology" too.

Whatever. It was Cassandra Nova’s doing.

Emma acting with any sort of moral outrage after the **** she has pulled over the years. And how about "Where were you, Emma, when you boy Shaw was making bank selling Sentinels to the government?"

The X-Men didn’t show up in force, either. Cassandra Nova sneak-attacked Genosha much too quick. Genosha was, in essence, Charles Xavier’s fault for not keeping his evil twin Shi’ar demon side of himself under wraps. It wasn’t humanity’s fault.

Anyway, Avengers and X-Men could team up this time to take down the undemocratic, unelected, illegitimate super-terrorist regimes running Krakoa and Mars.

Never understood this need by some fans to have the Avengers and the X-men to be absolute allies when their priorities are just not the same.

The Avengers are simply a hero team thrown together of different people to protect Earth.

The X-men's priorities over the years have changed because of their mutantdom and how that affects them.

Worrying about a young runaway mutant who was kicked out of their house is not a priority of the Avengers. The mutant status makes situations and conflicts that affect mutants more personal. The mutants and the Avengers just care about different things and if there is conflict because of those difference then so be it.

They don't need to be absolute allies, but they also don't need to be at each other's throats 24/7.
