Default Krakoa Protocols: Defend the Island

Given how many times Krakoa has been invaded I figured we can come up with a plethora of mutant protocols that could protect the Island.

    Protocol#1: Illusion death barrier
    Number of mutants required: 12

    Illusion:
    Mastermind
    Lady Mastermind
    Martinque Jason

    Intoxicants:
    Pixie
    Beautiful Dreamer

    Wind Current:
    Storm
    Wind Dancer

    Transmutation:
    Alchemy
    Chrome

    Magnekinesis:
    Magneto
    Polaris

    Momentum:
    Harry Leland

The Illusionist project around the island while Pixie and Beautiful dreamers intoxicants aide the potency. It should be strong enough to affect the Sentry. Storm and Wind Dancer are in charge of making sure the dust shield doesn't affect Krakoas inhabitants. Also to open exit points.

Chrome and Alchemy transmute boulders into adamantium. And Magneto and Polaris shape them into Daggers and fling them at people. Harry Leland increases the mass of the objects flung for maximum impact.

Mr. Sinister and Dr. Nemesis work on enhanced clones of Weapon H. Four males and females clones..with the added DNA consisting of Darwin, Gentle, Sebastian Shaw, Vulcan, Cipher, Cypher, Loa, Clay, Speed or Northstar, Blockbuster (Marauders), Pulse, Carver (Morlock), Nekra, Blink, Cyclops and Havok. Their purpose is to deal with any invaders to Krakoa as well as the Hulk should he ever decide to pick a fight with Krakoa's citizens. Mr Sinister using the knowledge of ones his past clones remakes The Children also adding more mutant abilities than the 1st group of Children.

Maybe Krakoa keeps getting attacked because Krakoa himself isn’t happy that all these mutants are there in the first place. Can we really trust Cypher? Who else can communicate with Krakoa directly? Black Tom? Not sure but I don’t think so.

Cypher barely communicated with KraKoa Not enough that they'd he hatching plans together.
Black Tom is close enough with the vegetation he'd likely know if something was fundamentally wrong with KraKoa
KraKoa feedds off Mutants why would it he opposed to having food readily available?

    Agreed.
One of the invasions were because they brought corpses back, not knowing there will little creatures inside the corpses.
Another were plant aliens that are seeding all over the place.

I like the idea of building an army of mutants specifically made for defense.

Employ various weather manipulating mutants to provide cover like Iceman/Storm create a fog, Dust becomes a sandstorm, Magma triggers a plume of smoke from a volcano. Obscuring visibility can prevent any aerial attacks from specifically targeting key facilities on Krakoa like Arbor Magna, giving other mutants a chance to reinforce defenses around those points (forcefields, physical barriers, etc). It also gives them a chance to evacuate non-combatants

The last line of defense are mutants who try to redirect any projectiles that make it through. Matter phasers like Kate and Neophyte, or teleporters like Nightcrawler and Pixie (large scale teleporters like Vanisher and Blink are on evacuation duty, Magik is a captain so she's on the front lines)

This has already been done before and forcefully to Madrox ,but the idea is genius. If Legion is on the island and they have his genetic makeup, they can resurrect him and transfer his personality into Jamie Madrox husks and so have a real standing army and protection force.Since Legion has like a 1000 powers (conservative estimate) they can pick out the best ones for defence like say if he could grant shielding to the kids) then a sentry Madrox of that powerset is always on watch at Akademos. I guess it could take away from some of the spectacle of Mutants fighting for themselves but against a worldwide threat it's a serious force multiplier

    Breakworld Protocol (Attack system)

    Mutants needed:

    Extraction: Magma and Rictor
    Magnetic Catapult: Polaris and Magneto
Telekinetic push: Exodus, Hellion, Jean Grey, Rachel Grey
    Aiming system: Cuckoos, Sage

Idea: Magma and Rictor extract iron from the soil, Polaris and Magneto manipulate the Earth magnetic fields to create a very precise, long range catapult system, guided by Sage and the Cuckoos to aim precisely to hit the right target. The telekinetics add an extra push to the iron projectiles so that they gain enough force to break any possible target at a safe distance, with no need for missiles and such, just a little metal bullet.

    Themyscira Protocols

    Mutants needed:
Telepaths: Frost, Jean Grey, Xavier, Braddock, Rachel Summers, Cuckoos, Quire
    Illusionists: Mastermind family
Sleeping Giant: Trinary, Sage, Cypher, Paradigm
Synch-out System: Emplate, Kate Pryde, Proteus, Cipher, Cortez

Idea: making the island invisible long enough to let others get rid of a treat.

The strongest telepaths, with aid from Cerebro, do a widespread telepathic trick like Emma did during HoM and Rosencanny, preventing anyone who gets at a certain proximity from the island from perceiving it or even thinking about it, giving them sudden amnesia as to why they were going to Krakoa and forgetting what even Krakoa is. The Mastermind family casts an illusion together to make the island completely invisible.

Sleeping Giant messes with satellites and other technology based systems that are no longer able to "see" Krakoa.

With a little push from Cortez to enhance their powers and some reality warping, the mutants with intangibility/space manipulation turn the island out of synch with reality and make it completely intangible to whomever is able to reach it.

Is there a reason why Krakoa can't protect itself?

Maybe it's a queen bee natural arrangement ,Krakoa gives mutants all conditions to thrive and live, while they are her defence. It could be symbiotic that way. Plus she does siphon their life force a little so , just as worker bees feed and protect the queen bee, so do mutants for Krakoa. This raises an interesting question though has Krakoa always needed inhabitants even as Arrako to thrive?

I thought Krakoa feeds off their psychic energy

That is what I said, at least in a hive the queen does not literally feed on the workers but she does feed on what they carry for her to the hive, so the similarity is uncanny.

Actually, Krakoa feeds on mutant energy often rendering mutants powerless and can feed off this energy as long as the being(s) remains on the island.

Anyone else ever wonder why (since it is an island) Krakoa isn't physically attached to the planet?
