It's not just Jason. It happened to other characters too. And probably not just because of the toys. But yes, that's our most solid guess. We even have some soft evidence going towards that direction.

Crowbards are silly, but guns aren't needed either. Jason was a jack of all traders before, he used from knives to bazookas. Also hand to hand combat, and anything in between.

He uses some fancy weapon in FS Gotham.
And a silly but awesome crazy armoured bike. Man, that was cool... It was awsome crazy. It was hilariously cool awesome.

i'm not saying he should use just guns, but in a cover like that, he would be holding a gun and it would look cooler than him swinging a crowbar.

We know he uses some fancy ammo there too. Not lethal, even if VGs didn't have much of a problem with that until now either. But I guess, because those too get toys, they'll give him some other weapons that are more marketable. They really, really seem to have any kind of gun banned.

But if those GK figures eventualy come and he holds guns, well, that would refute our working theory.

Well, crowbars are silly. And then, heroes or antiheroes, or whatever, don't need weapons at all to look cool. Look at Steph or Babs. Or Damian. Or Cass. Sure, three years ago he would've held guns, but his "iconic look" which comes from Under the Hood, didn't have them back then. Things changed after that, and can change again \o/.

Just, with a less silly choice for a weapon, if they so hard want one for him.

The crowbar isn't as silly as a gun that fires blanks and there's a reason behind it. What is the point of Jason using guns [that fire rubber bullets] when Bruce is anti guns? Is it a middle finger to Bruce?

A crowbar at least is a middle finger to the Joker. That means something. The guns are just purely there for aesthetics. there because guns are kewl.
