True. Ugly, but he was actually quite strong as a melee fighter.

errr the morlocks weren't turning mutants away they formed because they were more deformed than to fit in human society like at all. Yeah masque deformed some but not all of em...she was a morlock and didnt join shield till after XFactor....Xterminators New Mutants...Acolytes etc

    They had the Kleinstock brothers

They may not have turned people away at the door, but they made "pretty" people feel inferior, and offered Masque's services as the cure.

Yeah, the Acolytes didn't care about looks. Pretty? Hideous? doesn't matter as long as you have powers.

Well, one example was Sally Blevins, who looks 100% normal. She got rejected by the Morlocks because Masque couldn't make her "fit in". Thing is... we don't know exactly how many of the Morlocks actually had undergone this, but... she wasn't first.

Why was this? self image. The Morlocks hated that they felt rejected by well, most of society, and if you looked normal you reminded them of who they hated. Ok, well, it was inspired by Masque, but was a shared thing until Masque got kicked out of a leadership position.

For another example of Masque's dickery, Masque is why in some appearances Callisto has tentacles for arms and not normal arms.

This is what rejection looks like...
