I'm fine with the American-centric elements being downplayed but I never liked the switching from gold to silver. It's not like Superman has a trademark on primary colors.

I also like when she wears the 40s classic skirt, I'm in love with these two recent examples.

I like the Skirt on this, but not the top I prefer a more WW symbol

Except she didn't wear a skirt in the 40s. She wore culottes , which are like flowy shorts.

I always felt like her and kal el have very similar costumes their colors are usually the same exact shade.

Does the lack of coverage of her costume bothers anyone?

No, not even a little bit. She's always drawn powerfully not sexually so her costume's coverage doesn't really enter in the equation.

That's definitely not true. There are many examples of Diana being drawn in an exploitative manner, taking advantage from all of her uncovered skin, and without any power at all. There are also positive portrayals, but let's not pretend it hasn't also been a big issue over the years

Since Wonder Woman was magically created by Aphrodite in the golden age, I felt it made sense for Diana to be comfortable to show skin to express her femininity.

I still don't get why Diana doesn't have either laces or this type of top:

I’m going to second this! I LOVED it when I saw it. The silver accents never bothered me as I thought I did somewhat divorce her color scheme from Superman’s a bit, but gold is fine. I don’t love the spikey gauntlets though. I’m happy to see that his costume is somewhat standard these days.
