Guardians of the Galaxy Appreciation 2022

On that note has anyone else played the Guardians game?

Kinda meh gameplay and sterile cast aside, I found it pretty good. The story was good and the characters were fairly well developed. I liked that Drax despite using his alien backstory still had elements of his comic self such as retaining his direct link to Thanos.

And Quill wasn't intolerable for once. He honestly felt like a leader doing his best leading his team.

Though admitably I'm finding Rocket's constant jerkassery kinda hard to put up. His arc is basically the movie's arc pound for pound.

I appreciated it wasn't just a one-to-one movie copy. I feel like the Avengers came could've used more of that.

This issue was fun. The stars here are nostalgia (i think ewing guardians was truly hitting it's stride in those last few issues and was about to hit that crescendo) and the colorist. I also legit laughed several times reading it but i think it was connected to nostalgia because the voices sounded like theirs. "We are beyond making connections." lol
