Oversized. I don't have it sitting in front of me so I cannot remember exactly how big it is (it did strike me as being similar in size and look to the Walking Dead hardcovers) but it's built similar to the Light Brigade hardcover but much much bigger. A quality book.

I was wondering about The Strain too. How is the content? Anyone read it?

I know it's unlikely, but does anyone here own these editions of the Sin City trades from 2004?

If so, how are they, quality-wise? I REALLY like the covers and they are pretty affordable through the Amazon Marketplace. Should I get these? I don't really want to take the plunge with that Big Damn Sin City book, mostly because I want something a little more comfortable to read.

Also, I think those are actually the original trades from the 90s.

That's what I figured you were talking about. I had the whole collection at one time and they're great. I bought them used (so they'd been read) and read them myself a few times before putting them up on Ebay.

    You won't be disappointed.

If you don't like the new OHC - and yes it is freakin' big - then you could try to get the OHC Library Edition sets (there's 2 volumes worth. They used to go on Ebay for as much as $200 each (cover price $99), but I imagine they're going to drop in value now that the OHC is out.

You don't think they considered it?. Obviously they thought they would make more money producing the little digest Omnibus.

I like the paperbacks and have most of them but it's very irritating having artwork smaller than the original comics. I guess eventually we'll get some rip-off $150 Marvel Omni of the content.

I am pleasantly surprised they are including Angel and Faith in there, too. I will keep picking these up as long as they make them.

5 months? Yeah that's right. That is about how long Dark horse has produced OHCs and had the Star Wars license. 5 months. Yes, you are right, how silly of me...

I think he means that DH will be losing the starwars license to Marvel in five months now that Disney owns both marvel and starwars.
