Does the B.P.R.D.: 1946–1948 HC will fit with the 4 previous BPRD HC volume (same size same price)? I used to call these 4 omni library editions but perhaps I am wrong.

Hello vark. I'm no expert on Hellboy universe releases, but I can chime in a bit.

The BPRD HC's are normal HC size and not OHC or Library. They can be considered Omnibus. Only the Hellboy volumes are Library Editions. Everything else in the Hellboy universe line of books is normal HC size, except for, I believe, The Art of Hellboy and The First 20 Years. The First 20 Years is just as tall as a Library Edition, but it is narrower.

Based on the solicitations posted by Kalitarix, BPRD 1946-1948 will be the same price, size and general page count as the four previous BPRD HC/Omnibus.

Hope this helps and if someone thinks I'm giving bad info, feel free to chime in and correct me.

Many thanks for the insight danmar85. Thing is the Buffy series is also featured as a LE by Dark Horse. It is oversized with a dust jacket, but the inner cover is "just" a cardboard HC. The BPRD HC also come with a dustjacket but their inner covers are sort of canvas like the Hellboy LE. Indeed they are not oversized.
I had listed on my blog the BPRD as Library Edition back then but I can't remember why now.

Sign me up for nice HC Library Editions of Captain Midnight, X & Ghost(4-ish mini, #0-12).

I do hope DH is planning to relaunch Captain Midnight and Ghost. Their superhero fare has been too good to be this ignored by so many. At least X, currently, is still continuing.

I still need the last two BPRD Omnibus and then I can work on the Hellboy HC's. Somehow I managed to collect the whole Hellboy Library set last year.

I decide to start from Hellboy. BPRD seems to me little boring

Started Hellboy two days ago (found the first trade cheap), loving it so far! 1 more issue left, if I still like it im going for Library editions.

Sweet, sweet Hellboy... some of the best comics ever made. Nothing can touch mignola drawing them but all the various artists have added their own flavor to the mix. I just wish there was a little better organization in the LEs for reading order but this is a minor quibble.

The good thing with Hellboy is that it gets even better as the series progresses. I loved the 4th LE best.
