But Steph is actually a really good fit for a show like this, especially since she's actually a villain kid. Although they mention her being an "expert coder" so I wonder if she's supposed to be the team hacker rather than a field operative? Unless they build up to her becoming Spoiler.

It doesn't really spoil anything...it always seemed pretty possible that there would either be flash backs of Bruce before his death, or even (a much slimmer possibility) that he may ultimately be found alive at the end similar to Morrison's Return of Bruce Wayne story.
