Default How do you sell an expensive NM Marvel silver age comic?

    Hi

Where do you sell an expensive comic?
That is not Ebay or a comic shop.

    Thanks a lot

Hello everyone. First I m in the USA.Sorry for the long post.
I own an expensive key bronze age comic (Expensive to me)
I looked on EBay the highest sold for $900 and is “F”
Let me tell you how I got the book. Probably 25 years ago I went to a huge flea market. I was buying 25 cents comics at the time.
I came upon a guy that had 3 or 4 boxes of 25 cents comics.
I grabbed like a full box of Marvel, they were Bronze Age, what I grew up reading.
I Brought them home, looked at them, put them away for a couple years, then would read some and forget about them again and so on…I had no clue There was that key comic in there.
After a few years I decided to sell my comics. I had like a dozen boxes.
A guy contacted me that he wanted to look at the comics.
    He comes looks at everything.
I was selling complete sets by super heroe and I would not break series down.
Suddenly he pulls that comic and tells me “ I give you $20 just for that one.
I said sorry the whole set. He offered me then $40 and seeing his face almost drooling I realized I had an expensive comic there.
He never bought the whole set that would have been like $80.
When he left, I researched the comic and holly s..t, I dodged a good one.
I went to a reputable comic store a year ago to have it appraised. They charge only $20.
The owner inspected it carefully wearing gloves.
He had a sheet where he was grading everything.
Upon being done he said NM. I almost fell on my ass.
All the employees and some customers came around me congratulating me like i I had won the Super Bowl.
I understand this is not CGC but it gives me an idea.
He gave me a fancy bag to keep it like that.
I have it in a safe at the bank.
There is no way I am putting this on EBay. I sell other stuff there, and when they return, who knows what they will return.
I lost an item that was returned in awful condition ( It went to the trash) by a buyer once and Ebay ruled against me.
I lost $300 and had to pay shipping both ways.
What if they return the comic in VG condition?
If I go to a comic shop, they are in business to pay their bills and it’s normal but I will get like what 60% of the value?
Facebook, Craigslist has too many dreamers that will offer me $150.
( I can’t edit the title which says silver but it’s bronze)
    So what shall I do?

    Thanks a lot

    Pat
I've never sold anything myself but you could start out with a consigner site like mycomicshop (Lone Star Comics).
