$20 million against the Cap. They need to clear the balance sheet.

Yeah it was a we either trade him or release him situation, so they did well in finding a taker, as teams figured he would be on the open makret soon if they waited. The Cowboys have also given La'el Collins and his reps permission to seek a trade as he is on the cusp of being released to make cap room as well.

Eagles fans were whining on social media like colicky infants because they didn’t go after Cooper, but that cap hit was too rich for the team’s liking.

Cooper's numbers dropped a lot in 2021 and there is talk he can't be a deep threat type anymore. So the Browns who are giving Landry permission to seek a trade could be doing a major f-- up here. Landry and Baker Mayfield have had a nice chemistry for the last 4 seasons. He is Mayfield's favorite WR to look for since 2018.

In 4 seasons and 66 games (he's missed 8-9 games due to injuries in that span) Landry has 288 receptions for 3,560 yards and 15 TD's. This trade really makes no sense for Cleveland given Landry's only real injury issues hit last year.

I've wanted Landry in a Pats uniform since he was on the Dolphins. He's as underrated a WR as I think exists in the league.

With “March Madness” mere days away, the NBA in its stretch run and baseball lurching into the start of its season, guess who just sucked all the oxygen from the sports universe….yep, Tom Brady. I just saw it had been announced he’ll be returning to Tampa for the upcoming season. Crap.

During Bracketology, the two hour show devoted to breaking down the matchups for the Tournament, five minutes was spent with NFL writer Adam Schefter about Brady. And this is only the start.

    That's a little sad.

I know, right? In a tweet, Brady said in so many words that his place was on the field, not at home. Sheesh!

Apparently just a day after someone paid $518K for the ball from his (former) last TD pass.

While everyone is looking at Tom Brady these deals went down...

Despite everyone in the world believing otherwise, the Vikings still think Kirk Cousins is their answer at QB and extend his contract by 1 year and $35 million.

After trading Amari Cooper, Cwboys resign WR Michael Gallup to a 5 year $62.5 million deal as he recovers from a torn ACL that ended his 2021 season. He was set to be an unrestricted free agent.

Cardinals sign TE Zach Ertz to a 3 year deal worth almost $32 million ($17.5 guaranteed).

S Devin McCourty signed a 1 year $9 million deal to return to the Patriots.

My uninformed guess: the new head coach wants to see exactly what he has in Cousins and if he can roll with him before deciding whether or not he needs a new quarterback.

The Vikings really have few options to go with. They would need to really throw a lot of assets at Watson and unlike Seattle (who has the edge given the trade assets they got from Denver) they would have to throw a few years of draft picks to make the deal. Houston is in drivers seat and can get 3-5 draft picks for Watson with teams openly wanting him now.

Minnesota doesn't pick til #12 in 1st rd do the top 2 QB's in this draft could be gone by this point. Free agent wise no one is screaming for Jamesis Winton , Chad Henne or any free agent QB on market. Trade wise...maybe Jimmy Garappolo. But his injury history makes him a big question mark. The seasons he's healthy he is great. But he's had what...2 healthy seasons with 49ers the last 4-5 seasons ?

So the Vikings were in a bind. Cousins isn't the answer but given the options....all they have.

Not shocked brady is coming back. He had a decent season last year and He wants to go out with his last game being a SB win. Not a loss in the playoff.

I am laughing at the guy that bought his last TD ball. If you got 500K to piss away on a Football then it is clear he is not hurting for money. Thats a case of too much money to know what to do with.

I am interested to see if the Saints got for Watson like the rumor is. I hope not as I like the Saints. I have not seen so many teams need a QB like this season. it is nuts.
