Didn't he say some of the covers and preview pages are purposely misleading so people would think the story is something other than what it actually is? I think he also mentioned that after issue 3 people would realize what the story is "really" about.

Williamson keeps overhyping covers. Yes Hal is cool but this wasn't as unexpected as he hyped it up to be

I think its more due to his current ability to wave his hand and send character to dream world or whatever. Is there any reason to think that Hal vs Pariah fight will end differently? Maybe something will change by the time we get to #3.

Every Crisis has a big death scene. Supergirl and Barry went in CoIE, Earth 2 Superman in Infinite Crisis, Batman in Final Crisis. I wonder if there will be an actual death in this story. We know the League isn't actually dead but sent to their “perfect” worlds. Basically they’ve all been given the Black Mercy treatment (they really mine every last ounce of Alan Moore’s DC concepts).

Could it be Hal? he was one of the only founders not initially taken out and DC/WB does seem to be making John Stewart the face of the franchise going forward.

Or maybe they’ll just off some Titans Academy kids and call it a day.
