I think the issue with DC (well at least one of them) is that whenever the company goes through problems they get overtly meta and actually reference them in their stories, its why Rebirth and Infinite Frontier made plenty of references to some unseen force manipulating everyone and preventing them from being happy.

Thing is DC has been undergoing a lot of shifts in the last several years so they keep constantly referencing them in their stories.

    Its too fucking meta.

To be honest for me it's not that it's Meta so much as the actual content just isn't as memorable or deep as it could be to make the Meta commentary work like it would in, say, a Geoff Johns comic.

This whole word salad essentially highlights what is wrong with DC event-level storytelling.

What is the difference between a Hypertime crisis and a Omniversal crisis?

In terms of the current story, the distinction is meaningless - a villain is threatening reality in one, a villain is threatening a little bit more of reality in the other, and another villain is threatening reality plus something outside of reality as well. But, it makes no difference to Superman at all, as he just knows he has to save everyone and be a superhero.

The only importance is related to the readers, not the characters in the story themselves. I totally get how this is right in a few people's wheelhouse. It might even be something that quite a lot of people enjoy thinking about as well.

But it makes for very bad storytelling, and seems to be the only point to the event itself. And it gets compounded by the fact that DC doesn't really do anything with it - why get invested in the ramifications of the revelations in Doomsday Clock that Superman is an actual literary lodestone, when there are no ongoing comics that take the ball and run with it. In fact, the next event-level story either ignores it or rewrites the story so that Batman is actual the one true king of DC comics.

Hypertime is time related, Ominverse is space related. Johns only recently made this all up. Back in the old days, we just saw them all as positive matter and the universe will be destroyed events.

It's not like he made it up out of whole cloth. For the most part, Flashpoint Beyond merely highlighted a distinction that was already there.

If you've left, then why are you still here?

DC has strange ideas about apologies if Dark Crisis and the current direction are apologies.

Looks like to me... changed by spoilers decisions. Oh well goodbye Ollie...again.

Still some vagueness to clear up.

Really epic moment with Jon. I even want Williamson to take over Jon's book as well, after Taylor is done.
And I didn't expect, that Jace would take down Pariah, lol. I'm glad Williamson brought him there after all.
