I know williamson said the covers are misdirects, but when both issue 1 and issue 2's variant covers have so far been yara and jace related, I'm not buying it

It’s a misdirect that the new Justice League and Trinity will “Avengers Assemble!” in the first issue like the Team Cover suggests. Not the lineup.

I just hope they don't "Shadow of the Bat" this and make all the other heroes be completely useless so the Justice League can make a return and save the day.

I assume the main League will probably come back for a big team-up moment.

Also Slade has weird head tattoos...not sure what to make of that.

Actually I think this lined up with Williamson’s Deathstroke Inc. Slade went on a mission to fight Cyborg Superman and when they interfaced Slade got a clear viewing of the great darkness. Could be Williamson tying his plot threads together.
