ed2962, because Turner D. Century.

ed2962 as Turner D. Century was the first character that came to mind. Honorable mention to seismic-2 for a cover I saw a long, long time ago.

Thanks everyone! And that's to Alex Ross for the glorious cover. I knew which cover I was going to use as soon as I saw the topic.
New topic up soon.
Congratulations, foxley! And thanks for the vote, CaptainEurope!

Yay, foxley!

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Congratulations, foxley! Thanks to ChadH for the kind vote!
Congratulations to song-quoter extraordinaire foxley for their cover this week. Everything about this cover is great. The angle was mentioned, but the detail with the lighting direction, the shadows, and the sunglasses are a powerful basis for the series' viewpoint. This was truly a great piece of work.
As to the peak of the week and what, if anything, the captain has learned from this contest round, the bicycle is a link to the early view of the reader. Young boys with their bikes were pretty much what early comics were going after with few exceptions. The "Hey, I got onea them" reaction helps the reader find acceptance with their purchase and adds to the identification with the character. In my teenage years of looking for issues and traveling to trade and deal with other collectors, I put many miles on my bike. And living in a hilly city gave me some pretty well developed leg muscles.
In addition to the praise heaped upon foxley for their choice, I also want to thank them for both their vote and the mention of my frog fetish. It does feel good to actually admit that. By the way, the frog thing is hereditary from my mother.
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?
