A Monty Python sound chip as the cover is opened would be great for this.

Basic, but it does fit the bill. At this point, I've got nothing better.

I'd take a retired JSA over the Zero Hour die-off we have in regular continuity. It would be interesting to see heroes from the pre-Silver Age who simply hung up the cape and tights permanently.

It also suggests the possibility that this newest version of the JSA will once again have Wonder Woman in its roster — possibly even as a founder, though I could also see her having been brought in shortly after the founding. (Just not as “the secretary”.)

As much as I disliked the 1–5G plans overall, there were a couple of good ideas in there; and restoring Wonder Woman's time in the original JSA was one of them. Even if they never implement the rest of that timeline, I do hope they implement that part.

I'm almost certain of that, what with the Time Masters shenanigans that the book will be featuring. At least, during the initial arc. I'm less certain that those multiple JSAs will stick around.

Wonder Woman Diana being active early on would be great for JSA history. Her secretary status I can put up with because of her lasso of truth being able to get to the actual occurrences. Her relationship to the truth and being able to process that rationalizes her secretary status for me. I can see a motion to make her the team's secretary because of that (supposedly, but still it's the early forties). I see Diana rolling her eyes, accepting, and taking an ACTIVE ROLE anyway.

I would like to see the JSA meet and occasionally get together with the nu52 Earth 2 heroes as dimensional counterparts. The JLA has counterparts ad nauseum so why not the JSA?

Would rather have Earth 0 JSA, Hypertime past JSA and Earth 2 JSA.

I would definitely like to see Wonder Woman’s history with the JSA restored. Not Hippolyta but Diana. Make her a founder or the founder of the team as a way to make up for her being their secretary in the 40s. The general public already knows Wonder Woman as an immortal who has been in “Man’s World” for over 100 years, so it’s fine if she was leading the charge against the Nazis in WWII.

I'm addition to her agelessness providing a perfect justification for this, it's also true that she was an active member of the JSA throughout its original run — unlike Superman and Batman, who only had honorary memberships and whose combined total appearances in that initial run could be counted on one hand with fingers to spare. Superman didn't become an active participant until well into the Silver Age; and Batman never did.

But there's no reason to restore the secretary role for Wonder Woman.
