... So Shadow War of Hawkman itself came out during Crisis on Infinite Earths.
I was lumping all of those together as one series -- even though, officially, there were not. But the ongoing built off of the mini and the special. The ongoing was definitely post-Crisis, but DC still changed continuity -- something that should have been intact after Crisis. That was the main problem with everything that followed Crisis, the editors keep changing continuity. It's continued to this very day.

I agree, the suit covers him a little too much.

    HAWKMAN MY MANNN

Hope he's good in Black Adam. I just wish that Snyder had wrote him.

Also, DCAU kinda mishandled Hawkman... he was kinda a stalker/Ron the Death Eater to John and Shayera... Super Friends had a better Hawky than my favourite DC medium!!

The real stupid thing is that they technically took two shots at it too.

And the first one was so bad DC had to make them change the name.

I think Hro Talak is an interesting character and I wouldn't mind him acting as a foe/antagonist to Hawkman. But he needs to be his own character and be completely separate from Hawkman.

I think they are gonna go shirtless for Hawkman by the end of the movie if they aren't saving that for a follow up project (whether that be a solo film/show, Black Adam sequel, or a JSA spin-off show/film). regardless, I really dig the look and he's still the character I'm most hyped to see adapted in this movie.
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

I wouldn't be surprised if he loses a lot of the armor by the climax so we get a more comic-accurate look.
