What is it with Marvel/DC and their obsession with Alan Moore?

I don't think that is all Marvel obsessed with Moore. He hasn't done work for them since his Marvel UK stuff and that was like 40 yrs ago. And he's not shy about letting folks know that he's had a grudge against them every since. I think their acquisition of Miracle Man was more of a power move, keeping the character out of other companies hands rather than having clear plans for him.

DC I think is obsessed with Alan Moore and for good reason...Moore and a handful other creators raised DC's stock back in the day. So, yeah they're going to try to cash in on his old ideas.

I'm really excited for this as I have been wanting to get into the character for several years. I've also already pre-ordered the omnibus so I can't wait to see if the hype is real.

Seeing as it was my first exposure to Miracleman, i have to say I greatly enjoyed issue #0 and can't wait to dive into the omnibus to learn more about the character.

My first real exposure too and i have to say this was legit really good. At the beginning i remember thinking this feels so sophisticated, and not in like a snobby way. lol and then i started noticing the punctuation and the bolding of words and was like well damn this forceful narration is letting me know the story today and as the stories shifted i though oh peach mikoto art really looks good here to drawing back a bit at the idea that the creator drew the perfect hero in miracle man to falling back into the twist and leaving the book feeling truly inspired by both the author/creator and MiracleMan. A surprisingly thrilling read and great art throughout.
