    Tom Veitch, who wrote the Star Wars comic series Dark Empire, Dark Empire II & Empire's End (as well as a run on the DC Comics series Animal Man, has passed away at the age of 80. Article Link

    It's kind of interesting that Tom's DE saga brought back Palpatine and Boba Fett, and eventually Disney pretty much did the same thing, if a little differently.
