    @Digifiend Yes. Canary puts the wig on a mannequin and at those speeds the leprechaun simply couldn't find it out in time to divert himself. It appeared in JLA showcase 80 page giant #1.

    The wig is kind of different; not many characters use one. But unless we see her in her civilian life on a regular basis it wouldn't really matter either.

    The dyed hair, really, is little more than a call back to the wig days. And I like Dinah being a bottle blonde, it seems fitting with her badass biker chick aesthetic.
    I thought being a bottle blonde was more associated with valley girls than biker chicks.

    She could just wear her hair short like her Smallville depiction did.

    Natural blonde with dyed hair as a close second.

    SMALLVILLE's BLACK CANARYportrayed by Alania Huffman wore a darker long wig in her secret identity and short blonde hair for crimefighting as Canary. In later episodes the actress grew her hair out into longer blonde hair and we didn't see her in her civilian identity.

    When you think about it, it does makes sense for Dinah to wear the wig out of the costume rather than with it.

    But that was Linda Danvers' schtick. Supergirl was the Blonde Blockbuster who wore a wig in her civilian identity. Black Canary was the Blonde Bombshell who wore a wig in her costumed identity. {Coming up with sobriquets ain't easy.}

    I hear you and agree, Jim, but wearing a wig while crimefighting is just asking for it to fall off and defeat the purpose of wearing it in the first place.

    Then how do you explain William Shatner in STAR TREK: THE VOYAGE HOME?

    Heh. His toupee can be seen flapping up on an episode of TOS, FWIW.

    Have you seen Drag Queens throw down? There are magic ways to keep a wig on during athletic activity.
