This is a compilation of one saga in a long-running strip about Tullus in the monthly comic "Pix", which I read right along with my Conan and Spider-Man comics as a boy. I have this very book in my collection! There were others. I really thought the art was great.

From my reading of the OP, it's is only comic strips, not collected comic books. Unless the comic book was only collected comic strips.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

    A Bloom County collection.

Homage to a Bruce Springsteen vinyl box set:

Yes, this was my intention, but it's open to interpretation to a degree.

BTW, I posted about Miss Fury a few weeks ago vis-a-vis Romita's redesign of the Black Widow's costume. Allow me to quote myself:

For example, here's an excerpt from a Romita interview in Comic Book Artist #6 (1999):

"I did the costume on the Black Widow. One of my favorite strips from when I was a kid was Miss Fury. They had done a Miss Fury book at Marvel, and when I found out they had the rights to her, I said I'd love to do a Miss Fury book sometime. I had done an updated drawing of Miss Fury, and Stan said, "Why don't we redesign the Black Widow costume based on Miss Fury?" So I took the mask off her face, and made the Black Widow the one in the patent leather jumpsuit. That was why the Black Widow changed."

(Miss Fury also reminds me of the Barbara Gordon Batgirl).

Oh my! Miss Fury really was the original, then.

Yes, evidently. Romita Sr. has maintained (in numerous interviews that I've read) that Miss Fury was his inspiration for 'Tasha's 1970 makeover.

Funny enough, I almost used this cover two weeks ago for the bike theme.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
