Yeah, Batman being Bruce Wayne should not matter at all to Joker. All he cares about is Batman.

I have to agree . The Joker only cares about Batman . Him knowing that Bruce Wayne is Batman doesn't influence his crazyness .
So it really doesn't matter . I think that more people know that Bruce is Batman , but it's just not confirmed in the books .
By the way , Joker also knows that Nightwing was the first Robin .

The amount of people who know Batman is Bruce Wayne got really out of hand... Somehow all those people know Batman is Bruce Wayne and they all keep it as a secret for one reason or another... It is ridiculous. None of them goes to press or tells to another soul that Bruce is Batman. It is the worst kept secret by Bruce but the best kept secret by all the other people who know.

Chip Zdarsky is one of my favourite writers and Batman has always been my #1 superhero. I'd put this behind Zdarksy's Spider-Man and Daredevil runs. Bugger.

It shouldn't matter, but he calls him Brucie all the time like he's goading Batman that he knows his secret. He doesn't care about it, then he has no reason to keep the secret. I know the writers have done it to make things more personal between them, but I don't care for it.

Heh, this is a good way of putting it. I miss the days when it was a big deal when someone found out Batman's identity. As editor of the Bat-titles in the 80s and 90s I think Denny O'Neil really cracked down on who knew about Bruce, and then in the 2000s that idea just gradually disappeared and every super in the DCU just starts calling him Bruce again. Shame.

It's funny reading something like World's Finest and only Dick, Clark and maybe Kara are the only ones who know Batman is Bruce.
