‘Batman’ #142 part 1 of ‘Joker Year One’ sells out and gets 2nd printing cover
Joker still sells like hotcakes
Yeah, and as much as I don't really need another Joker infects all of Gotham storyline or an origin story...this was actually surprisingly good. Zero Year was a solid story and this played really well as a follow up to it, and I think because the whole infection plot is in a "possible" future it's over the top nature isn't as egregious as if it was set in the present.I don't know how any of this ties into the previously overly drawn out failsafe story that Chip had been telling but for now it's a pretty decent Batman book.

Batman #143 Preview
Writer: Chip Zdarsky
Artists: Giuseppe Camuncoli and Andrea Sorrentino
I guess this is a chance for Zdarsky to write more Alfred.
I actually really enjoyed it.
I have a few questions though.
1. Who is the Duke he refers to at the end?
2. Is he wearing the TDK suit in the future scenes?
3. What was with the other Jokers beating him up? Or is that yet to be revealed?
We don't know, it's not revealed yet.
The last scene is a flashforward. Apparently they're planning another event, this time about Joker infection epidemic (it's an idea from Arkham Knight, I guess Chip doesn't really want to make up his own ideas for his run).
Duke Thomas is the Signal(yeah, it's a dumb name) he's a meta that got introduced during We Are Robin(which was a good book).
It definitely resembles the TDK suit in those scenes, definitely seems to be inspired by it.
There's a story called the Three Jokers that explains that scene.
