I wouldnt mind if they change it a tad and have him be a creation of Barbaras who becomes her sidekick/lover (and then when he gets to cocky she offs him down the road lol)

Indeed, as even Sebastian is normally more notable than her (in the novelty of being disliked enough to be hated) but Debbie has always kind of been just…there.

I'll always appreciate the eco-terrorist Debbie Doumain as she was my introduction to Cheetah via the Fisher-Price WW book and tape. ❤

I'm sort of neutral on Debbie. She has the rotten luck of being sandwiched between Priscilla and Barbara, and she's just not very remarkable when compared to the two of them. I don't think it helps that she's the one who is straight up a victim of other supervillains making her evil. Priscilla and Barbara (both Perez and Rucka) have more agency in descending into villainy.

I am always genuinely torn about how I want Cheetah to be depicted. Perez's Barbara is cool and creepy, and Rucka's revamp that folds aspects of Priscilla and even Deborah into her is a close to perfect distillation of the concept.

But at the same time, Marston's template for Priscilla as re-imagined by Alex Ross is pretty close to perfect too. I think Justice is still the Cheetah story to beat:

I wouldn’t make him Cheetah but I’ve thought of bringing him back as either powered up Bestimorph minion of Circe or as the head of modern day cult that worships Urzkartaga.
