“Well, we got introduced to Hope as a pretty capable, kick-ass woman from the get-go. And even her inception story as a superhero, there was none of the, sort of, fumbling around that you see in a lot of inception stories. She was fully prepared to do anything that was needed, and she always seems to have the answer, and she always seems to be on top of everything.”

In this third film, Lilly teased how she is “excited to have a chance to show a side of her where she would make mistakes:”

“And so I was really really excited to have an opportunity in this third film where she’s gone from a caged-off woman to a woman who has opened her heart three separate times. One, her heart to Scott, and then her reparations with her father, and then bringing her mother back from the Quantum Realm. So, she was sort of like the Grinch. Her heart had grown three times as big, which makes it three times more vulnerable. So I was really excited to have a chance to show a side of her where she would make mistakes, she would be fragile, and she wouldn’t always have the right answer.”

While talking with ET Canada, the actress elaborated on that train of thought, sharing how she “[thinks that] little girls need to know that it’s okay to stumble and fall:”

“… I think little girls need to know that it’s okay to stumble and fall, and make mistakes, and to cry, and to not know what to do sometimes. And that you can still be powerful and amazing. And actually, [it] makes you more powerful and amazing when you feel those

Peyton Reed has commented that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will take a sharp left turn to the franchise and more details of the first film of Phase 5:
"Well, I think we were thrilled to be able to do a third Ant-Man movie and complete the trilogy and we knew that if we were going to do that, we wanted to do a few things differently. We really wanted to take a sharp left turn." And make a movie that was even more epic, but still progressed the story of this family dynamic."
He further reveals that he feels grateful to have Kang the Conqueror as the movie's villain:
•"We knew we wanted to pit our heroes against a very formidable opponent, and we were very lucky. I grew up reading comics and knew the character of Kang the Conqueror, who is one of the biggest and baddest characters in comics, so we could Putting our heroes against Kang the Conqueror in this movie was a huge deal for us. So we were big and we were also small."
He highlights that they will not only introduce new characters but also explore the Quantum World:
•"We finally get to spend some time in the Quantum World. We've got a lot in store for these characters in this movie and we're going to meet a lot of new characters and explore the quantum realm, which isn't always what you think it is, so we're really excited to give life".
Lastly, he argues that Scott doesn't know how to relate well to Cassie during the movie:
• "And everything that's going on between Scott, Hope and Cassie... Cassie, who is now 18 years old, and maybe Scott doesn't really know how to relate to her as an adult, because he missed those five years of the events of Endgame .
