Well, I can't say Priest isn't a good fit for writing an ethically complicated character like Black Adam.

I wish they'd go back to the capeless look though.

I wonder if the "successor" will tie-in to Isis or Osiris.

As said in the other thread, definitely checking this out! My initial assumption would be that Priest would be writing this as another “villain” book, but perhaps not.

I think he's writing it like a Black Adam book - Adam wants to do good and find redemption but his own personal ethics and anger get in the way.

"Black Adam is a man who has lived far too long, haunted by his original sin of murder--the means by which he gained his powers in the first place--and desperate for redemption. Burdened by mistakes from our past, we all turn out attention toward legacy as we age. Paul’s challenge to me was to redefine that idea for this age old character."
Building on a plot point from the New 52 Shazam series, which revealed that Theo Teth-Adam secretly murdered his nephew Aman to acquire the full power of Shazam, the series shows Adam desperately seeking a successor to carry on his legacy.

HssH asked me if they were acknowledging the New 52 origin, this confirms they will.

I’m on the fence regarding Adam, but Priest & Sandoval definitely has me interested. Especially if Isis is heavily involved.

Priest working on a Black Adam miniseries sounds great.

Was happy to hear that a new Black Adam book was announced but having Priest as the writer is huge.

His Deathstroke run is a classic. Still waiting for an omnibus

You are most welcome! I am tempted by the omni, but I already have the whole run in singles, and a bunch of them are signed, so I don't really wanna get it again...
