Dads...always crushing daughters' dreams and ruining the moment .
I wonder if this will get a spinoff

Another fantastic issue, I love the Nubia/Hawkgirl/Yara Flor team-up!
It establishes a new status quo for the Bana flirting with magic that I hope will be developed at some point.
I didn't expect to learn so much about Nubia's past in this issue and it's really a good thing, the art is fantastic and I think Nubia will develop new powers as the avatar of Sekhmet.
I think it is an excellent idea and I am more and more excited by the fact of giving so much diversity to the Amazons, not only in their race but also in cultures and beliefs. Although it is not something new, but I hope it will be better developed than what Jimenez and Rucka tried to do.
I enjoyed the issue too.
I’d really enjoy developing a miniseries about international/interplanetary/interdimensional politics in the DCU starring Nubia; Black Adam and Isis; Aquaman, Mera or Tempest; Siren; Gorilla Grodd; Gemworld; Queen of Zandia; Markova; Shayera Thal and Katar Hol return from Thanagar; etc.

Hold up, is that who I think it is...?
And I'll be very sad to this era of Nubia come to an end - I was really hoping we'd get an ongoing but looks like it's not in the cards. Here's hoping the main WW book focuses more on the Amazons so we can keep seeing characters like Nubia and Yara.
Well at least we have no indication Vita Ayala is leaving. We might see her continue things with Nubia.

So. What did you think of Nubia first confrontation with Zillah?

Lol Yara called the Bond villain look. Would’ve preferred “you seem like you wrote Pull Up to the Bumper” but we love it anyway.
Hoping this mini isn’t the last we see of her - giving her a redemption arc would be a nice thematic tie to what happened with Medusa in the first series. It’d be neat to see her as a recruit into the new, united Amazons, i.e. picking that tradition up from the Bana. Was also great to see Yara though I’m still really not clear on how strong she’s supposed to be…
This issue was a bit exposition-heavy for my taste but they have a lot of ground to cover in 4 issues so I get it. I really hope they take some of the world-building elements they established here and include them in the main WW book, including the floating island, Themyscira opening up, and Bia as oracle (is this the first time they’ve addressed that or did I miss something?).
