I feel it's more likely that he did something like show up in a regular tuxedo with his mask on and one of his old students of friends told him "Ypu can't show up like that!" and dragged him off to make a quick last minute costume for him before anybody actually saw.

Yea but at that time Peter had access to Horizon’s and later, Parker Industries’ equipment. These days he’s pretty much back to just the basics that he’s had most of his career.

I know i would totally wear Doom outfit minus the mask. I'm glad the x-team got them showing out. Let them know why Jumbo is not a omega mutant, some human designer was like "not today!" i hope they show a scene of it. "i just had to show out for my humans and be like no, mutants, we love your fashions but not today! NOT tooooooodaaaay!" and Jumbo being all like "hssssss, see you next year, love ya."
