Creator-owned properties such as Image titles usually aren't so much cancelled as simply abandoned by their writers. The Black Monday Murders started out monthly for 4 issues in 2016, but then only 3 issues came out in 2017, the eighth issue came out in Feb 2018 (and the second trade was published), and nothing has appeared since then.
Apparently the writing and the art were completed for the ninth issue and most or all of the tenth, but Image is (understandably) holding off on printing any more issues until they have enough for the third trade, and so the series seems as dead as the Russian oligarch whose murder is the subject of the title. I hope that allows it to qualify for this week's contest.
The "cancellation" of the ongoing left us in suspense about what was going to happen next with the competing international schools of economics, the homicidal tycoons who control the stock market, the heirs to the great fortunes who eat one another's hearts, the blood rituals performed in the world's first language, the Black Pope, and of course what really lies underneath the basement of the Federal Reserve.

Silver Surfer v. 1 (1968 series)
canceled after 18 issues
Christopher Cantwell and Salvatore LaRocca's Doctor Doom series was originally announced as a new ongoing but then the pandemic hit right as issue #6 came out. It languished in limbo for about 5 months before it returned and then was cancelled with issue #10.

Mods, is there a way to edit the thread title so that it reads 3/16-3/22?
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
"If we all die in this place, it will not be for nothing." So ended the first issue of this comic. Such a strong ending, I loved it and couldn't rave enough about it.

By issue 5 or 6 it was a dumpster fire.

Not quite. Disney bought CrossGen and then Marvel, and used Marvel for a brief attempt to revive the line with three titles Ruse, Sigil and Mystic. All three were four issue minis. Two more titles were announced (Route 666 and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) at a Canadian convention, but were never released.
