Me too. I was really looking forward to seeing both Aquaman and Mera fighting together for the upcoming sequel. I hope whatever screen time she has now is relevant/significant for the character. Hopefully Aquaman 3 will see this issue resolved.

Considering she's only in the movie for ten minutes she likely been reduced to whatever is absolutely necessary for her to be present for. I did hear a rumor about the Aqua baby making their debut in the film

Im not surprised, it sucks. She'll be appealing the ruling but it definitely won't be done by the time Aquaman comes out to make a difference

There is a rumor that not only will all of Amber's scenes be deleted, Mera will die giving birth. I don't want Mera to be killed. She is very important to the Aquaman mythos. Killing such a badass character like Mera will not end well. Why couldn't they just recast ?!

If they kill her, then they might as well cancel the entire franchise. They could easily recast her and reshoot her scenes.

Here’s a better idea: If you want to cut out Amber’s scenes just say Mera is off on a mission or in a coma and then recast for Aquaman 3. Bam, easy fix.

I hope Mera doesn't get killed off. If her role has been reduced, maybe have her appear early in the film very much pregnant, which explains why she can't accompany Aquaman on whatever journey he takes in the film. And then at the end after Aquaman saves the day he comes home and BOOM there's Mera waiting for him with Aquababy in her arms!

Also, is there no Aquaman Appreciation thread for 2022?
