    Prince Namor, The Sub Mariner
    Gargoyle
    Squadron Supreme
    West Coast Avengers

    All best.

Worst is tough but Nightcrawler was certainly a letdown.

    I loved Nightcrawler!

It was the classic fuzzy elf being a fantasy swashbuckler in a story written and drawn by his creator Dave Cockrum.

more mini series to introduce new characters are needed. more minis to celebrate individual members of teams are needed. Seems like the 1980s were the best in this regard.

Yes, I'd have to vote for this one too. Chris Claremont would later get his own shot at writing the Fantastic Four title after the FF was relaunched in the post Heroes Reborn era.

Completely understandable. For what it's worth, I thought the creative team did an admirable job.
There were several highlights that were quite memorable (IMHO):

Couldn't agree more. Early JRJR artwork is still an all-time fave (XD)

I know, right?! Loved it, as well. Didn't realize so many disliked it, though...

Yeah, I liked it as well. Most of those two team books were letdowns in my opinion (Avengers vs. X-Men, X-Men vs. FF, etc.). Nightcrawler was atypical of most series of the day that took themselves too seriously.

I recall both Gargoyle and Machine Man being good -- two characters I didn't really care about -- made interesting by good creators. The inking by Windsor-Smith on Machine Man was a treat. I think the series that were smaller in scale tended to be better in terms of quality.

Glad you approve! Thanks!! Also, another example of Doom's "mouth-grill"

These two come to mind. Both are fantastic.

More X-Men minis. Magik is bar none one of the all time best. Iceman you millage may vary. I thought the ending was much better than the begining with Iceman.

Jack of Hearts was very good. Falcon is kind of weird because they tried to make him a mutant. Cloak and Dagger is in the Middle.

Is there a list of all the 1980's limited series from Marvel? I had forgotten some of these.

With the Vision and the Scarlet Witch mini series to me hands down the first 4 issue mini is much better than the 12 issue series. I think Bill Mantlo just told a better story. More happened in those 4 issues than in all 12 issues of the Steve Englehart series. Plus the art in the 4 issue mini by Rick Leonardi was just great.

I am curious did anyone read The Black Panther mini, and was it any good? I think I read it a long time ago but for the life of me I can't remember a thing about it.
