In order to make that happen, Al Ewing would have had to permanently make Logos the new "Living Tribunal" at the end of Ultimates 2 and then have everyone else at Marvel stick to the new status quo. Only then could we say...

I'm sure there's a way to break them up, but I think all the good ways are taken

Betty only ever began dating Peter again to spite Ned during their marriage and Peter was rebounding from MJ. They haven't been a proper mutual thing since the 60s.

This makes no sense at all. I do not know why Nick Spencer brought Ned back from the dead when he treated Betty like crap at times. Giving her a child made no sense either. No real reason whatsoever..
