Default Cover Contest 3/23-3/29: The Theme That Wouldn't Die! Comic Jukebox Redux!

This theme has been used at least twice before so I feel justified in going with it again as it's been years since it last saw the light of day. Comic Book Jukebox, where we select a cover AND a song that goes with that cover.

For example a cover like this:

    and this song:

If there is any question about a connection, please explain.

And of course the usual RULES apply:
    1) Post One (& ONLY ONE) Cover that fits the theme of this Week's Contest!
    2) Cover must be from a Published Comic Book, Graphic Novel, or Collected Volume!
    3) Covers must be Posted before Voting Begins!
    4) Voting Begins 12 AM Tuesday and Runs Until 12 AM Wednesday PST (3 AM EST)!
    5) Vote by Posting the name in BOLD of the Poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most! A vote need not be in bold, but it does make it easier to Count-The-Votes!
    6) The Winner of the Contest is the Entry with the MOST Votes after the Voting-Period!
    7) It's Okay to Discuss the Covers but if you Think Someone's Entry Doesn't Fit the Theme or Violates the Rules, you Don't need to Argue it in the thread, Simply Don't Vote for It!
    8) Plus: Occasionally Voting will Result in a Tie! The Person Who Started the Thread will do the Counting that Week will Usually call for a TIE-Breaking --Vote from Someone who has Not Yet Voted!
    9) AFTER the Tie-Breaker Vote, Voting Ends and the Winner is Declared by The One Who Started the Thread (or assigned surrogate) and Thus will do the Counting.
    10) HAVE FUN!

I will break rule 1 here to push the Age of Marvels and DC Next Dawn fan fic threads pinned to the tops of the Marvel and DC forums which have all sorts of wild adventures like this issue our Amazing Fantasy which features any property Marvel has licensed.

    AMAZING FANTASY #25
Starring Beavis and Butthead; Ren and Stimpy; Rocko
    “CRISIS ON INFROGINITE EARTHS”
Written by JOE MURRAY and MIKE JUDGE
    Plot by CAPTCLEGHORN
    Art by ALEX ROSS
    Backup by JIM STERANKO
The Egyptian goddess Heqet is pissed. She has noticed in many versions of planet Earth where frogs are abused, tortured, killed, and otherwise disrespected. As a result of mankind’s deeds, she has decreed that their worlds must perish and be reborn. For she is goddess of fertility and rebirth and either has a full frog body or a frog head. Only one hero remains to stop her. Throg, Frog of Thunder and wielder of the hammer known as Frogjolnir. Once a human named Simon Walterson, he was cursed to become a frog. This also angered Heqet as being a frog is NOT a curse. Throg was unable to save his planet and it was destroyed by Heqet. Barely escaping with his life, Throg was able to locate one of many dimensional transference devices resembling frogs, known on many worlds as King Solomon’s Frogs.
Unable to stop the onslaught, Throg was face with only three Earths surviving.
Earth B&B: where delinquent boys known as Beavis and Butthead play baseball using frogs to hit with bats.
Earth R&S: where a chihuahua named Ren Houk and a cat called Stimson J. Cat used to abuse frogs in their youth, although that was mostly Ren.
And the worst Heqet will save even longer than she saves the previous two.
Earth RML: where a family of frogs known as the Bigheads suffer due to the petty beliefs and hatreds of Ed Bighead. His friend Rocko, a wallaby has been ineffectual in bringing Ed to a more righteous path.
Heqet has sworn vengeance and she will have it unless Throg can assemble a team from the aforementioned characters to thwart her scheme and convince her to recreate the Earths. By the way, your Earth is gone as well. This solicitation is a memory in your soul as it faces final judgment. Luckily there’s a long line of deceased so there still may be time to reed the book before you perished forever. It may all come down to Ed Bighead’s children Ralph and Rachel Bighead, actually the same frog from two points in their life together for the first time anywhere. Can Ed’s child, pre and post transition come together and convince a goddess that we are worth saving?
Included is the Jim Steranko’s sequel to Frogs, Frogs 2
    96PGS/$2.99 TVMA

So let's have some fun, kids!
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape

Because the weather's been so chaotic this week, especially down south where New Orleans was hit hard by tornadoes yesterday, I went with this cover:

    And this song:

...What a man, what a man, what a man
    What a mighty good man
    Gotta say it again now
What a man, what a man, what a man
    What a mighty good man
He's a mighty mighty good man
What a man, what a man, what a man
    What a mighty good man
    Yes he is
What a man, what a man, what a man
    What a mighty good man
I want to take a minute or two, and give much respect due
To the man that's made a difference in my world
And although most men are ho's, he flows on the down low
'Cause I never heard about him with another girl
But I don't sweat it because it's just pathetic
To let it get me involved in that he said she said crowd
I know that ain't nobody perfect
I give props to those who deserve it
And believe me y'all, he's worth it
So here's to the future 'cause we got through the past
I finally found someone that can make me laugh
You so crazy, I think I want to have your baby
What a man, what a man, what a man
    What a mighty good man
    Yes he is
What a man, what a man, what a man
    What a mighty good man
He's a mighty mighty good man
What a man, what a man, what a man
    What a mighty good man
    Gotta say it again now
What a man, what a man, what a man
    What a mighty good man
My man is smooth like Barry, and his voice got bass
A body like Arnold with a Denzel face
He's smart like a doctor with a real good rep
And when he comes home he's relaxed with Pep
He always got a gift for me every time I see him
    A lot of snot-nosed ex-flames couldn't be him
He never ran a corny line once to me yet
So I give him stuff that he'll never forget
He keeps me on Cloud Nine just like the Temps
He's not a fake wannabe tryin' to be a pimp
He dresses like a dapper don, but even in jeans
He's a God sent original, the man of my dreams...

I never played at this game before…

Okay, I dunno if it's "cheating" to choose a song about a comic character, but I have an alternate if necessary. Plus, I love Ookla the Mok.

Heavens to Rao, NO! The good point about this strategy is the rest of us learn about the wide variety of comic characters in songs we hadn't known about.

Awesome! I highly recommend many of their songs. They have some really fun ones. I believe "MWAHAHA" is one of my favorites.

Got a record on the radio
Listen to it with a friend you know
It isn't short, it isn't very long
If you like it, you could sing along
(Play That Record) on the ol' jukebox, you better
(Play That Record) on the ol' jukebox, you better
(Play That Record) till you can't take the groove no more

Gonna go with a deep cut from one of the best vocalists of this millenium on a side project... and one of the most franchised new properties from it as well:
