There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Let's see if I can post a video. If you've never heard this song ... I make no apologies.
And of course it go with the Hobbit Graphic Novel.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Thank you Scott!

Every day is a gift, not a given right.
Just in my excitement for your choice of cover, not as criticism of your choice of song. Whenever I see that cover (which is just about every day as I have it displayed), I immediately hear that Who song and I love that cover (it's the leading contender to get my vote this week). It was in no way intended as a criticism of your song choice and if it came off that way, I apologize. If my comment caused any unintended offense, I will edit it out.

Comic fans get the comics their buying habits deserve.

It's just that by suggesting a different song--and especially since you sought to underscore the aptness of your particular choice by capitalizing the word TEEN--it came off to me as a passive-aggressive undercutting of my choice. It disparaged my selection.
I'm glad the cover evoked associations for you, and ordinarily I enjoy reading memories/associations, but I think in this case your post could have waited until after the voting. I hope you repost it later.
Thank you for amending your post and I'll amend mine as well.
