Bean / Jishop Appreciation 2022 – JEAN GREY X LUCAS BISHOP

Despite very light and actually not-threatening-at-all hints that Duggan might shake up Scott/Jean a little, nothing is going to change.

That said, if a breakdown were to happen, I still think Jean/Bishop would provide a neat bit of room for exploration and new stories. It would be interesting to see what would bring them together without the dream-world context and within the scope of actual 616 canon.

I think just bringing the past storyline back would be great way to explore those feelings. maybe the have been real? maybe both still feel for each other but do not trust their feelings.

Even if Scott and Jean stay together, which they will......I think Marvel should be contemporary enough to let Jean and Scott really have an open relationship or polyamorous relationships. It is soooo common. Why is it so difficult to show it in a comicbook in 2023?

Can any of the people brought back thru the Resurrection Protocols claim to be the same being with all of the rights that any other US citizen has? Is the agency that approved and issued their marriage certificate even aware that Scott and Jean died and were brought back to the world of the living intact mentally and physically to even consider nullifying their marriage?

^Jean and Logan doing sexual stuff is not exactly headcanon, but only one writer was interested in showing it. Yall know my understanding of comics. If the previous events don't inform the current comics then they didn't happen. Exodus didn't make up the sexual relationship between Jean and Logan, but only the Duggan Jott boredom is actually still canon.

Yes they are married and thats been stated and confirmed in canon multiples.

None of that even matters. They are citizens of Krakoa and as a nation defines what the concept of marriage is for them. Krakoa recognizes them as married and others acknowledge them as spouses

What's important here is did anyone actually file a death certificate on either and provide proof of death legally because if not neither were ever legally dead anyway.

She should as she had a funeral and a headstone BUT in Dark X-men, Mystique was publicly imppersonating Jean and did so bc there was no evidence that Jean was actually dead so maybe nothing was filed

There you go. Even if they had a funeral if you cant prove someone is dead then they can't issue a death certificate and mystique pretending to be Jean would actually add confusion to the idea she is dead. Though there are time periods on the amount of time someone is missing to be presumed dead but i find it hard to believe any of the x-men would go to have it filed and all Jean family was killed by the shiar.

Let's see, Scott out the picture. Bishop's making nice with her adopted son, and that is enough for me to see the possibility of Bishop setting up to make a play for Jean.

To be fair though Bishop and Cable were friends from years back, and Jean was with Bishop after Scott and Logan were dead.
