Looks like Aaron Judge is headed to the Giants, I bet that Cashman extension is REAL popular amongst Yankees fans right now

Edit hold up apparently not official and a reporter jumped the gun

Yankees blew it. They are now offering 8 years for $300 million. They could have gotten him last year for 9 years and the same $300 million. Word the Giants are offering $360 million.

they're not doing nothing, they're making offers but free agents are choosing to take equal or lesser offers form other teams rather than signing with the Sox. Sources say they had a higher off than the Rangers in on Heaney but he chose the Rangers, and theat their offers to Kahnle were the same os the Yanks but he chose to stay in NY. That's the third time this offseason free agents have rejected equal or better offers form the Sox to sign elsewhere. Can't be active if players are choosing to sign with other teams nomatter what you are offering.

LHP Matt Strahm, who pitched for the Red Sox on a 1 year $3 million contract last season, just got a big raise to go to the Phillies on a 2 year $15 million deal.

It's interesting to see contract values this offseason. I wonder if the lack of uncertainty over the CBA is feeding into the inflated values going to players this offseason. Guys coming off bargain contracts after mediocre seasons are seeing big paydays so far this offseason, let alone the huge paydays star players are seeing. The security of a longterm CBA and the lack of missed games due to the pandemic might be at the heart of these increases.
