Jezebel is a very brief obstacle that sets the stage for Bruce's absence, but she of course is despatched by Talia by the half-way point of the run. Morrison's run is all about Bruce falling out with Talia as she began to fully embrace her corruption. It's about one long established and familiar relationship falling apart. Morrison has even said it was inspired by their parent's divorce as a child.

Of course, now the Bat Books seem to finally be trying to patch up Bruce and Talia, so we'll just see what happens.

What's even more funny is that Bruce didn't want to kiss Talia because of Selina all the while she's clearly not that bothered. These writers making Batman look like a sucka.
He is a sucka for her, for more than 85 issues, and if it hasn't changed, about 20 years of his tenure as Batman, almost all of it

So, that doesn't seem very broken up and it looks like she's cheating on him.

Unless this is some kind of misunderstanding or something.
Isn't the one year break is to see if they still can work out? Meaning the answer can be yes and no?

The "break" had nothing to do with any strain on their relationship. It was framed as Bruce needing to "rebuild" himself after going broke and losing Alfred, and as Selina needing the time to "clear her name" or some such. They didn't need a break from each other, they just had a lot of personal stuff that apparently needed to be sorted out, before getting back together and making "real decisions" on how to make their relationship work.

It was all a bunch of flimsy crock really. Just Tynion wanting to cut out Catwoman to make more page room for Harley Quinn and his assorted OCs.

Actually DC gave him the order to break them up. "Going on a break" was simply the nicest way to do it Tynion could think of. A lot of people weren't a fan of the huge focus on romance in King's run and wanted a break from it after he was off the book. It's really not as complicated or weird as some of you shippers make it out to be.

Okay thanks for reinforcing my point that it had zero narrative strength whatsoever. And if you're somehow implying that fans at large aren't interested in the relationship, then you might be as off your rocker as DC editorial.

Ah, yes, romance, clearly the thing superhero comic readers care about the most.

It's actually one of the driving interests of some books

Funny how Talia now is probably more villainous than she was just before Morrison's run started. Feels like we are going the same direction again.

Talia and Bruce had no relationship in that book other than she being her ex girlfriend. It didn't become the main part of the story until Morrison's Incorporated run which was a fall out which was a fall out for Morrison
