This issue felt like this arc's climax. It's a good issue but the vagueness around Arzen's goals and the reality engine holds it back.

I really don't like how they've been writing Renee lately.

At first I thought she was playing it up to placate Nakano and his policies but it feels like she's been drinking the Koolaid for some reason. Seems like something Ridley was keen on back in Future State.

Yeah, you'd really think that would be clear by now but here we are.

    I miss Nakano.

    This story continues to frustrate.

As an individual issue it's decent enough, the characterization is good, the action is well done, the mood is captivating...but the overall plot continues to go nowhere. There have been eleven issues and an extended annual and the story has still yet to reach its conclusion.
    Why?
What is the benefit of going on this long?
Have we learned anything here that we couldn't if the story was done in four issues?
