Considering The Batfamily will be no more after Gotham War, who will be the ones to try, and save Batman? Azrael, Cassandra, and Grundy come to mind judging by the variant covers. Talia, and maybe Ghostmaker?

You can't lose something if you never had it, this story has been moving at a snails pace since it started. And just like Chip on Batman, it's a real shame. Ram V is a good writer, has a great grasp on mood and nails Batman's voice and the plot is interesting enough...he just needs an editor to tell him that 14+ issues isn't an acceptable length for a single story.

Its a reminder that a writer should never go "too much".

Even for a great writer its never a good idea to just let them do cart blanche whatever they want because not every idea is a gold one.

Ram V normally is a great writer but he's clearly running here with way too much freedom.

It's nice to see Dustin Nguyen drawing Batman again.

Although it's kind of funny how Batman is losing control in both 'Tec and his main book right now.

When I read interactions between Dick and Bruce like that, I'm really wondering if there is some collective amnesia that made people forget how poor the relationship between Bruce and Dick has for a good of the previous continuity and and a lot of the darker capitals of Nightwings history ...

It was awesome seeing Dustin draw Batman again, really took me back to memories of better comics. Not that this issue was terrible, Batman fighting off mind control by revisiting his "greatest hits" isn't a bad story mechanism and the character moments and flash backs were decent...but outside of isolation its frustrating yet again because we don't learn a damn thing about the orgrams, or why their interested in Gotham or what they plan to do if they win so as a piece in the over all story it's a failure despite being decent on its own. If Dustin weren't on this I would drop it.

Nice art, but who are these backups supposed to be focused on again...?
