Aren't you forgetting there was a break or three in the past?
* The Flash #350 (October 1985) was the final issue of Barry's original run.
* Wally's series didn't start until after CoIE. His Flash #1 was cover-dated June 1987, and the last issue was #230 (March 2006).
* Next up I believe was Bart's Flash: The Fastest Man Alive which had issue #1 with a cover-date of August 2006 and ended with issue #13 (August 2007).
The current numbering system for The Flash actually dates back to 1940's Flash Comics (which introduced Jay as The Flash). Back in 2020, the numbering on the series Barry had been featured in jumped from #88 (Early April 2020) to #750 (Early May 2020).
