TBH If i were to write it I would have him drop a HUGE bomb and pick Scarlet Witch.

However my bet is he would have chosen a non named politician mutant. Not a hero or villain

If the QC is lacking in anything it's representation. No Sextant (a.k.a. youth) rep, no Morlock rep, very little geographic diversity (no reps from Asia or South America), etc. I guess Magneto counts as Genoshan rep but he just left.

In terms of who he'd pick, I think it'd be Lorna, Wanda, or Peepers.
