How Walt Disney beat Ron DeSantis , by doing NOTHING.

Walt Disney is a mega corporation. Its became so BIG , SO MASSIVE ...they could literally close the theme parks and just sit back with content creation at this stage. They are literally a company that makes major bank every day. But as I said they can literally decide like the WWE to just sit back and generate cash.



Disney itself has grew so powerful that they have a team of lawyers. Picture the scene from the Lord of the Rings. The ORC army being created and the legion growing for battle. That is the Disney lawyers basically being born , bred for combat at a moments notice. The Disney lawyers are feared across the many lands in this realm. Not many has tried to face them on the battlefield in court. Once done however , Disney usually wins.

For all its power Disney has always made sure its politically aligned with Republican party. The old school Republican party knew that having Disney in its back pocket was a wise move. Florida itself benefited a lot from a strong Disney partnership as did the main party outside. A lot weren't happy that Disney's executives were close with Donald Trump but the party had long been close to the party. And Republicans as I said before loved having the money and power of that connection.

But this was the old school Republicans. The new school Republican party is ....well batshit crazy. They literally spend more time worried over school math books having Critical Race Theory in them or passing laws like Don't Say Gay. Its very little about trying to tackle tough things like rising inflation , Covid or anything like that. You have losers like this guy who spends more time worried about evil math books.



Ron DeSantis wants to be President of United States basically. So he's spent 2+ years appealing to Trumpsters to a level that is insane. If it gets him press and the Trumpsters fart in his face , DeSantis will do it ! From not caring about Covid to passing terrible laws....if a Trumpster loves it DeSantis is in excited ! Like ...YESSSS ....PRESIDENT 2024 !!


Its under his leadership that basically he did the worst move that will likely haunt Republicans and Florida ahead. He alienated Disney and then went full ...ya know . Which as the guy said in Tropic Thunder you never go full ...ya know. But the Republican party under him did and Disney ...just smiled.

See , Disney saw that the customers and employees they had , some were gay and the terrible bill passed would be sh-t to support. So Disney spoke up , DeSantis cried over it . Then Disney dropped the hammer down. They will not support Republicans moving forward. They were cutting the party loose. They had donated millions to Florida Republicans and were basically telling them , this is not a good law and we can't get behind it.

Now if your Republican Party what do you do ?


A- Contact Disney executives behind closed doors and discuss the law there.

B- Stay silent and hope this blows over. Then meet with Disney executives months from now to smooth it over.

C- Go scorched Earth , push through a terrible law to punish Disney (your think) and laugh over it. Believing your gonna teach Disney a lesson.


If you picked C ....well you now have modern day Republican party. Who pushed through a terrible bill and didn't take time to understand the ramifications of everything. Have you and supporters mock Democrats who try to make you understand whats gonna happen because you believe your "spiting Disney".

DeSantis signed the bill which will now have Disney lose its special protection deal and the self made government over a big area. Which Republicans laughed and cheered themselves over.

They didn't read the fine print though. In 2023 the counties and state now assume the debt load of those areas and have to supply EVERYTHING that Disney paid for. See ...Disney was doing its own Fire Department , social services and more in that area. Like...picture this ...





With ...ya know humans involved.


DeSantis by a stroke of a pen from whats coming out literally saddled his state with millions in debt in 2023. He cursed his own citizens who live in those counties to wake up paying 20-25% higher property taxes and more to support....Disney. Its almost like a foolish man who felt he was spiting a major corporation didn't realize , the corporation was smart enough to cover its own bases in case this would ever happen years ago.

By doing nothing at all...by sitting back and staying silent Walt Disney won. They won by doing nothing. By letting one party over react and the real victims here isn't the major corporation...its the people of Florida. Which is sad...but the people there who voted for these officials will have to realize the error they made.

In all , no one likes Disney as a major corporation. They aren't so angel out there given what they have done. But you can't be a public company and have elected officials push through retaliation bills the moment a company pulls support from your party.

Yeah, DeSantis screwed the pooch big time with that stupid move he made, and that's left him in an untenable position. Beyond the unhinged minority more than willing to pay higher taxes to put Disney in it's place, the majority of Floridians will be considerably pissed off, but DeSantis has no choice but to double down, if he blinks in this game of chicken with The Mouse, he'll lose the support of Trump and his cultists, and that will end his run for president before it officially begins. Makes me wanna grab some popcorn and see what will happen next.

Fox news has been falling all over themselves to talk about how great this is and DeSantis is a hero for the last week or so.

And the only guy who admits this will cost the state and tax payers a lot more money in the long run is also saying the people of Florida are going to be very happy to pay that extra cost because the social ramifications will out weigh the cost. Big Business will learn not to talk about politics and try and get political and more importantly there will be less and less gay and Trans children in schools over time because the liberal indoctrination of our children is outlawed. So there are teaching telling 5 year olds they are really girls and to wear a dress.

DeSantis seems to have gotten what he wants: a reputation as a Republican who fights. There will likely be some resolution that allows both DeSantis and Disney to claim victory.

This was all posturing for the 2024 elections. Now DeSantis has got the narrative going of "The brave conservative man who stood up to the giant liberal corporation Disney" blah blah.

The thing is though, is Disney all that vilified among Republicans that DeSantis expects them to vote for him just because he picked a fight with the corporation? How are their movies, theme parks, streaming service etc. doing so well if everyone on the right hates them? Or conversely, is the cultural and economic impact of conservatives THAT ineffectual that them boycotting Disney doesn't really hurt the company much?
