The Following replace Batman and the Batfamily. What happens in Gotham?

We all know Bruce and his family have a certain set of skills that allow them to defend, investigate, and protect Gotham from scum and villainy as best they can (alongside helping out the JLA and other groups occasionally).

However, a friendly quasi-deity of your choice (probably Bat-Mite in an attempt to help) has whisked away Bruce and ALL his local ally’s for a much needed year of R&R (wether they like it or not). Being your local friendly deity, it has also made sure to send in some replacements to help out.

So, how does each group do? They are given the local lay of the land so to speak (by said deity) and explained what they will be doing for the next year. They are stationed at Wayne Manor and have access to the BatCave and all such gadgets/info held within (alongside their own tools and equipment they normally have). Their presence in Gotham (and the Manor) will not be seen as odd by any of the Gotham citizens. They must also attend one JLA meeting a month as a representative of the Batfamily and must wear Batsuits at least once a week while patrolling.

So, how do they do?

How do they do? How do they react (presume language will not be a barrier here) to this world and it’s heroes/villains?

How funny is the JLA meetings going to be? Or the teams reactions to having to were the suits?

And of course, any…antagonistic players (Xanatos, Fox, Owen, Drakken, Shego, Joker, Wendy) will cooperate with the heroes so they can all go home after the year is out.

David Xanatos and his team seem like they are failing, but in the end it turns out is was all to his benefit.

The thing is, while Batman is good at detective work, Wade just straight up has magic plot powers on his computer. So after Kim does a bit of networking and helping people, she'll have the capacity to help. The other problem is Gotham is a LOT more murder happy than the Disney cartoon world Kim is from. Even Shego, one of the most violent characters on the show will find herself getting out classed by "thugs with big guns".

Although red-headed girl doing flippy martial arts in a Bat costume? Gotham might not figure out anything weird was going on even without Batmite's magic.

Also I hope it's the team collectively has to have one person in the Batsuit. if everyone has to take a turn patrolling as Batman, I'm hating to imagine Wade or Dr. D's turn.

The only group I actually expect to have issues is the Naruto group. There is just so many problems with that group at that part of the show. First off, no senseis hence they are going to have major issues with transportation. They can't stay at the manor due to transportation issues. (just imagine Naruto or Kiba riding a motorcycle. Oh, the chaos). Sakura was useless at this portion of the show and Ino isn't much better. Hinata has major confidence issues.

They could beat the normal mooks, no problem. (In terms of power, they probably still beat everyone one-on-one). But these scenario are going to happen during that year and it will not be pretty.
- Naruto and/or Sasuke get hit with Scarecrow's fear gas.
- Ino attempts to go into Joker's mind.
- Sasuke challenges Lady Shiva (or Ra Al Ghul) to a fight.
- Poison Ivy takes Naruto and Kiba under control so Shino, Ino, Sakura and Hinata have to save the day. Shino becomes Poison Ivy's arch enemy.
- Shikamaru attempts to solve Riddler's puzzles.
- Choji attempts Green Arrow's Chili. He discovers a new level of pain tolerance.

They might survive the year, but I don't think that they will be in one piece. It's too easy to see Shikamaru not taking something seriously enough and one of the villain's takes out half of the city. Shikamaru (and Sakura) never got their heads straight until the Sasuke retrieval arc. Gotham's villains are too good not to take advantage of their carelessness.

I mean IIRC Brooklyn had a pretty keen sense of smell and they have a cop lady. Gotham PD already has bloodhounds and (at least in the cartoon) a rookie cop lady. If they can't stop the super villains I'm not sure how The Clan is going to do it.

This is going to be the huge problem for some of these teams. They have the power to stop the villains, but can't figure out what their plan is before a whole lot of people die.

For SHIELD, the above problem is compounded by the fact that as good as TV action heroes are (some of them with powers), they aren't comic book peak humans or something closing in on that, and there are a whole lot of Batman villains who will make an outright mess of them in any kind of fight.

re: the Agents of SHIELD team.

I suspect they might do okay, primarily because of Daisy, Yo-Yo, and Fitz and Simmons.

Daisy has significant powers and is a trained agent. Fitz and Simmons have sci-fi levels of reverse-engineering. Once Coulson and the gang start realizing what they're getting into, they should be able to hack Batman's computer and outfit the team with some of Bats higher end gear (i.e. Azbats suits and such).

Keep the Bat-patrol field team limited to Daisy, Yo-Yo, May and maaaaybe Bobbi, primarily. The rest will just get themselves killed (even Mack) if they engage with the likes of Batman's tougher foes, but Daisy, properly equipped, can make mince-meat out of many of them. May should be able to hold her own... barely... if she's equipped decently. And Yo-Yo is a low-level speedster, and by the end of the series, the "Yo Yo" limitation revealed to be psychological. She'll be a real asset. The others are limited to daytime recon or stopping muggers. Daisy, Yo-Yo and May, primarily, will deal with enhanced.

The others do problem solving/detective work. The "patrol requirement" for the whole team (I assume) can be met by limiting the weak members to being outside as briefly as possible, or in vehicles (hovering Bat-tanks i.e. Morrison's Batman and Robin sound good. The SHIELD team are used to cruising in flying vehicles after all...)

Heck I won't even go full cosmic. Does Naruto have anyone who could handle Superman? Or one of the other Superman adjacent people who aren't actually weak to magic?
