I like the cast, I like the story. Just not sure I can get over the childisch art. I will give it another try, but feels more like a little kids book.

No I am feeling the same way. I am sure the artwork resonates with others, but this feels very Cartoon Network for me and not in a good way.

Not at all. I was just thinking I might wait for the TPB. I really want to support Steve. But the first issue hasn't hooked me and the art is not my taste. I enjoyed the annual a lot though.

Thanks for posting! The art is a bit too cartoony for me too, but the plot is intriguing for me so far. I'll stick with it for the first arc.

I truly hate books which have great art on the cover and subpar art inside. Case in point...
Save this style for where it belongs: Squirrel Girl, Moon Girl, etc.
Hard pass.

I quite like the art but in any case, there will be a new interior artist as of issue 5.

Nova's presence continues to be absurd to me.

But there is definitely a big disconnect in that cover art and the interior art. They feel like they're aimed at entirely opposite crowds.

The art seems worse than the first issue, I'm not feeling it either. And to be honest, the dialogue is not my taste. The random talk between Aurora and Somnus during a situation like that didn't work for me. But I'll try to enjoy it.

There is a place for stylized, cartoony, art...but this kind of book isn't it.

Would love if this was Kwannon's new costume. But I guess it's just a tactical suit for the mission.

But man, I must agree...the art is so not my taste. The cast is badass but with this art the book looks silly.

I adored Baldeon's cartoony, expressive art on X-Factor, but Baldeon was also really precise with the body language of the cast. It enhanced the script in the same way an actor's performance does. Carlini's art is expressive, but the expressions and poses are so broad and exaggerated that it looks like a lot of the characters are being exaggerated for comedic effect, and that doesn't really suit the story well. I'll stick with it for a few more issues, though.

Also Kitty saying she trusts "my people" in regards to Cassandra Nova... I don't mind her being along for the ride but she should be imprisoned on the ship or smth
