How much you wanna bet that in nonexistence Peter somehow meets Shathra’s sister and she weaves him back into existence? Also, totally called it on calling the Disney Princess spider useless. She did nothing in this story and got turned near instantly.

God the dialogue in this issue was horrrrrrible. Slott needs to just permanently let Gage or someone else do the scripting for him, because the awful dialogue made this issue vastly worse.

Calling it horrible is being nicer than the issue deserves. Slott has never been what one could call a sophisticated writer, but this was stilted and amateurish even for him. The whole issue fell flatter than a globe produced by the Flat Earth Society.

Worst part is, it could have been a decent issue had they just focused on the mission to get the golden idol rather than insisting on PIS with Morlun pulling a Leeroy Jenkins just so literally everything could go to hell. Also doesn’t help matters that due to the monthly release while not feeling like the plot has moved forward much beyond ‘heroes get overwhelmed by Shathra’s forces…again.’ this story feels like it’s moving super slow.
