This seems like a no brainer. Given the popularity and longevity of the series. Rosenbaum's Smallville podcast is very successful even though more than a decade has passed since it ended. Could it fit in as an Elseworld's DCU project? Maybe farmed out to Netfilx which is mentioned as a potential vehicle for the project? My guess is it would be huge and could bring WBD much needed income from licensing it out. It has far more potential to be a hit than the Abrams Elseworld's project.
Welling said he's prouder of his work on Smallville now, adding that he would be open to reprising his character. "Of course! I mean listen, I was thinking about this the other day right before we did our Talk Ville Podcast, we were on one of the most successful shows in the history of television like Top 50. From that show, I've never gotten an incoming call from anyone involved in that show for further work. I don't mean to, I'm not saying like I don't feel bad about that, I don't harp on anybody about that. But you would think that when you're successful, you would be continued successful with successful people. But I think the time has changed."

I wasn't a fan of Welling for the longest time. He didn't seem into the character and did few events at the time the show was runing. He has since been more active on the events trail and clearly loved doing the series. I always felt he was full of himself but met him at an event and he's a really nice guy. Not sure if the chances are good for this to happen but never say never. It could be a series instead of a film but glad it's being talked about.
