Perfect opportunity to post one of my all-time favorite covers!

One of only three comic book covers by the artist William Ekgren, who emigrated from Sweden to the US in the 1940s. In 1952 he was displaying his paintings in a Greenwich Village open market when he was approached by the St. John publisher who bought three of Ekgren's paintings. The paintings were reproduced (and returned to Ekgren) and used as the basis for covers for three St. John horror comic books, namely Weird Horrors #6 and #7; and my favorite, Strange Terrors #4.
Ekgren passed away in 2016 at the age of 98.

It reminds me of deep neural network art. Creepy with the suggestion of more skin-crawling detail if you look past the main image..

To celebrate the big success of the Dr. Strange movie the theme of this weeks contest is Strange, but NOT Dr. Strange. Post a cover of a comic series with "STRANGE" in comic book title (not the story, but the comic itself). The catch is IT CAN'T BE DR. STRANGE or anything to do with him, not STRANGE TALES (with or without Dr. S) or STRANGE ACADEMY or any iteration. So it can be Strange Adventures, Strange Worlds, Strange Planets, Strange Sports Stories...you get the idea....

Alright, apparently the rules are way more specific than I first realized, so I'm just gonna go with this lady being a drama queen from an old Ajax comic.

I was okay with Stranger. Like I said, I didn't make it part of the rules. But the Hulk cover does not fit. The comic series must have Strange in the title, like Strange Adventures, not a story title or description blurb.

No worries, I was not a big fan of Strangers in Paradise, so was happy to change.
