Default Gwen Stacy returns for Amazing Spider “Judgement Day” tie-in

    https://comicbook.com/marvel/amp/new...-judgment-day/

Seems like an interesting premise, seems like Pete might get to talk with Gwen one last time again, I wonder if they may retcon the fact that Gwen died hating Peter from Clone Conspiracy, either way I’m excited and think the cover art by Romita is great, love when Peter has some stubble.

Edit: Just realized I messed up the title. Peter is now fully a Spider once again.

Given this is Wells writing it, I expect more guilt-tripping.

This is the most creatively bankrupt run I have seen since the days of Mackie and Byrne.

Can't wait to learn how it gets worse, uncle Ben next? Or maybe that's too obvious... Burglar next?

So is this a follow-up to their conversation in Clone Conspiracy or are we treating that as a separate thing again and it establishes that the Gwen clone from that did 'properly die'?

It's time for Spider-Man to be judged, and I think we all know which moment in Spidey's history is going to weigh heavily on the proceedings.

You don't want to miss this very special issue that might just break your heart all over again.
Yes, I know that moment, the moment when Peter and Mary Jane made a deal with Mephisto and erased their daughter from the timeline. Did I understand correctly?
    No, it's Gwen again...

49 or so years later and they're still playing Weekend At Bernie's with Gwen. Leave that woman in the dirt.

How does this even make sense? Given it's an AXE tie-in, does one of the Eternals have the ability to temporarily bring back the dead? Like the protagonist in the TV show Pushing Daisies?

If Gwen is revived to pass judgment on Peter, and given the themes of Wells' run since launch, if she decides "Pete, I am disappoint", I will grin from ear to ear.

    Bingo.

I'm putting money on Ben and Madelyne screwing with Peter.

I admit I never heard of Pushing Daisies ( I will look it up later), but this looks like yet another storyline I have no interest in. Deadly Neighborhood and even Slott sound much better then ASM these days ( heck even Beyond seems better). I really hope Wells comes up with something I can enjoy before the end of the year?
