    Default New ASM Artist

Seems like many are not happy with JRJr's work on the new ASM series (myself included).....if you could pick a new artist, one who has never been on a Spider-Man book, who would it be?

Bart Sears?? I vaguely remember him as a journeyman artist filling in here and there in the 90s. Serviceable, but nothing special. Is he still around? Has he improved a lot?

I'm very happy with John Romita Jr's art actually and hope he sticks around a long time.

But as an alternative, I think Batman's Jorge Jiminez would be amazing.

I think it's the best art in Amazing Spider-Man in a long time right now. Romita Jr. is killing it.

    I've always liked Adam Kubert.

tbh i haven't been happy with the artists on the book for about a decade. Every time they put an amazing artist on the book, they don't last. Now although i like Romita JR, i think it's better to get a new artist. If i had to pick an artist already at marvel, i would pick Jesus Saiz, Mattia de lulis or CAFU. If i had unlimited options, then Dale Eaglesham

Romita JR was my guy in the 90s but I think a combo of my tastes evolving and his art not have made me definitely want someone else drawing Spidey. His work seems lazy especially when compared to some of the artists out there today. I mean, did you see his Venom on the cover of the Free Comic Book Day issue?

I agree with CAFU and I would love to see Chris Samnee, Dan Mora, Jorge Jimenez, Jonboy Meyers, Joey Vazquez, Patrick Brown, Russell Dauterman,

    Samnee and Marcos Martin rotating.
Maybe snatch Larraz away from the x-office

I like Romita Jr. I think he's doing a good job on Spider-Man.

The art serves its purpose, and I have no objections.

To answer the question, Saren Stone's name is the first that comes to mind.

Do covers count as "worked on Spider-man"? If not: Dan Mora or Germán García.

I agree, he's not as good as the first half of JMS' run but he's a whole lot better than Bendis' Avengers or his BND era Spidey stories.

I loved Gleasons recent art. He draws a great Spidey and Peter.

I would like to see Stefano Caselli but the one I saw during the Big Time era and not th one on Invicible Iron Man with Bendis. The faces he drew there looked like flaceed tires. On the other hand, I never saw Peter looking more attractive when he was doing ASM.

If you're curious, then check out the first four-issues of Captain America & The Falcon
