    Default New ASM Artist

Seems like many are not happy with JRJr's work on the new ASM series (myself included).....if you could pick a new artist, one who has never been on a Spider-Man book, who would it be?

Bart Sears?? I vaguely remember him as a journeyman artist filling in here and there in the 90s. Serviceable, but nothing special. Is he still around? Has he improved a lot?

I'm very happy with John Romita Jr's art actually and hope he sticks around a long time.

But as an alternative, I think Batman's Jorge Jiminez would be amazing.

I think it's the best art in Amazing Spider-Man in a long time right now. Romita Jr. is killing it.

I agree, he's not as good as the first half of JMS' run but he's a whole lot better than Bendis' Avengers or his BND era Spidey stories.

I loved Gleasons recent art. He draws a great Spidey and Peter.

I agree with everything you said.

If you're curious, then check out the first four-issues of Captain America & The Falcon

I liked Ottley and wish he had longer or more to do with what we had.

Often, I go back and reread old issues of Spider-Man from back in the day and John Romita Jr's art then and now is almost like night and day. I'm not saying John Romita Jr's art is now bad but in comparison to his days of yesteryear, it is hit or miss. Take John Romita Jr's depiction of Tombstone. I like the way he illustrated Tombstone better back in the day in comparison to now.

But the guy is still going to go down as one of the all time greats regardless.
